;-ANNUAL MEETING V: The annual meeting of the Dune din branch ;of the South African War Veterans' Association was held last night, the president (Mr B. Ellis) occupying the chair. The annual report and balance sheet were adopted without discussion. ELECTION OF OFFICERS The following officers were elected: — President, Mr A. Duncan; vice-presi-dents—Messrs E. C. Hazlett, T. J, Moreton; R. Smeaton, W. Dobson, J. Thorn, and Dr A. R. Falconer: Mr W, F. Dunne; committee—Messrs G. Aitken, C. Cornish, W. M'Keich, H. Potter, J. C. Rigby. J. M'Cracken, J. Seelye, F. Stove, J. Melville, R. M'Gregor, G. Waldie, R. M. Meffan, J. Cair-ncy.-T. Wright, and L. R. Ellis. HONORARY MEMBER Colonel E. R. Smith.was elected an honorary life member in recognition of his services to the association. THE RETIRING PRESIDENT Members expressed their pleasure at seeing Mr B. Ellis present at the meeting and wished him - renewed, health and happiness. Warm tributes were paid to the great service he had given to the association for many years.
