A PRODUCER OF FRICTION ADDRESS AT CONFERENCE LONDON, May 26. Sir Roderick Jones (chairman of Reuter's), addressing the Empire Press Union Conference, described news as: "This friction-producer going up everywhere continuously like a series of rockets, the combustions and particles igniting other explosions until we are faced with something alarming, which inclines us to finish up by saying ' let us pray.'"
