TRAILER FULL OF SNAKES CAUGHT FOR OVERSEAS ZOOS SYDNEY, May 25. (Received May 26, at 0.15 a.m.) When a dust-begrimmed car and trailer stalled in the heart of Sydney to-day a curious crowd which gathered ascertained that the trailer's freight consisted of 700 live snakes, ranging .from pythons to death adders. They were caught by a professional snake catcher, Rudoloh Dehaume, aged 27, in outback and Central Australia. He explained that the snakes were mostly for shipment to London and Continental zoos, payment for them to be made at the rate per foot.

GOLF IN THE MOONLIGHT

SYDNEY, May 25. (Received May 26, at 1 a.m.) Playing golf in the moonlight at Avalon seaside links, Edward Hock equalled par 32 for nine holes. His partner, P. Small, registered 41. The game was played between 8 and 10 p.m., and they lost only one ball but found four strays.
