Outram, March 27, 1937, “There is a waiting list of over 100 people desirous of renting houses in Hamilton.” said a Hamilton estate agent the other day. "In spile of pronounced building activity tor the last two years there are never enough houses to meet the demand. People wishing to buy houses are not so numerous, partly. because of the increase in the prices of houses and partly because Hamilton's population is such a shifting one.” The houses which were being built were of a good type, and ranged in price from about £7OO to £IOOO.
