NOTES FROM RICCARTON

(Special to Daily Times) CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 9. There will be 18 horses from Riccarton stables at the Dunedin meeting. They are: Paper Slipper, Wild Chase, Top Notch, Haughty Winner. Argentic, Palmyra, Tunneller, Knockfin Willie Win, Recollection. Fairway, Royal Chief, Cerne Abbas, Dayolo, Happy Night, Invoice, Rebel Chief, and ’Golden Dart. Thirteen other horses were in the list of acceptors, but they will not fulfil their engagements. Vintage had to be destroyed after breaking a leg last Saturday while for various reasons Lazybones Mob Rule, Palady, In the Dark, Gold Label, Rousseau, Dictate. Concertpitch; Mercenary. Epic, Glenavon. and Forum were left at home. The horses who have gone south are a strong lot. and it is expected that Paper Slipper, Wild Chase, Top Notch, and Haughty Winner will add materially to Sir Charles Clifford’s good record this season.
