OTAGO RUGBY UNION

MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE A meeting of the Committee of Management of the Otago Rugby Union was held last night. The president (Dr Perry) occupied the chair. E. E. Saunders was granted a transfer from Ravensbourne to Pirates. The secretary submitted a draft of the annual report, and a sub-com-mittee was appointed to go through it and make any revisions and additions thought necessary. Mr Harris pointed out that a series of trial matches was to be carried out by the New Zealand Union this season, and that New Zealand was to have a visit from the South Africans. The Otago team was also to travel this season. That being so, he thought the club season should be started as early as possible. It was decided to recommend to the annual meeting of delegates that the club season start on April 17. It was decided to hold the annual meeting of delegates a week after Easter, on March 31.
