INQUEST ON SCHOOL TEACHER An inquest concerning the death of Frederick Charles Graham, aged 32 years, married, a school teacher at Waikaka Valley, who was found dead with a bullet wound in the head and a rifle beside the body at Omakau on Saturday night, was held on Sunday night before Mr John M’Knight (coroner) and a jury of six. Constable Ellens (Ophir) conducted the proceedings on behalf of the police. The evidence showed that the deceased had suffered from stomach trouble.two years ago, and had had one or two bad turns, but there had since been nothing of a serious nature. The coroner returned a verdict that death was due to a wound selfinflicted while in a state of mental depression. MAN’S SUDDEN DEATH John Mac Lean, aged about 64, believed to be single, with relatives in Scotland, died suddenly at 10 a.m. yesterday at the house where he boarded in Filleul street. The deceased had been injured at the war, and not long ago had been attended by a doctor. An inquest will not be held.

FALL INTO RIVER SIX-YEAR-OLD BOY DROWNED (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, Feb. 8. Douglas Tetzlaff, aged six years, a son of Mr and Mrs B. Tetzlaff, fell off the wharf on the Waikato River opposite Mercer and was drowned.
