OBITUARY

DR A. C, OWEN (Special to Daily Times) ' AUCKLAND, Jan. 8. The death has occurred at Sydney of Dr A. Cameron Owen, fifth son of the late Mr G. W. Owen, merchant, of Auckland. Dr Owen was one of the students chosen and sent , to the South African War with the Edinburgh Hospital Corps. After taking his M. 8., Ch.B. degree, he travelled extensively before returning to New Zealand to practise his profession in Auckland and Wellington, later, owing to ill-health, going to New South Wales. Dr Owen married Miss Meadowcroft. eldest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Frank Meadowcroft, of Wellington. He is survived by his widow and two daughters. ■ V ' , CANON C. E.
