GOLD PRODUCTION
GREAT INCREASE IN RUSSIA HUGE RESERVE AVAILABLE MOSCOW, Jan. 5. (Received Jan. 6, at 11 p.m.) The increased gold production, estimated at £80,000,000 last year, is piling up a huge reserve available for use in war time. The total is already believed to exceed the Czar’s £200,000,000 in 1914 Russia is now the world’s second highest gold producer Dozens of towns art springing up in the mining regions of Siberia. Kazakstan, and the Urals.
