CITY POLICE COURT
Monday, December 7 (Before Mr H. W. Bundle, S.M.) ACCUSED REMANDED Harold Walter Larkins was charged with the theft at Otakou on November 20 of six spanners, a side curtain, repair outfit, and a length of copper piping, of a total value of 225, the property of Wiwi Taiaroa Chief Detective Young asked for a remand until December 14, stating that the police wished to make further inquiries.—Mr C. J. L. White asked for bail, which was allowed in the accused's own recognisance, on condition that he reported daily to the police. MAINTENANCE James Edward Clark was charged with the disobedience of a maintenance order, the arrears to date being £l3 10s. The defendant was sentenced to one month's imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended provided he paid £7 10s on or before December 20, and £6 on or before January 15. Robert Lyall Kay was proceeded against by his wife for maintenance and guardianship orders.—After hearing lengthy evidence the magistrate fixed maintenance at £1 15s a week and adjourned the complaint for a guardianship order sine die.
