LICENSING COMMITTEE

QUARTERLY MEETING The quarterly meeting of the Dunedin Licensing Committee was held yesterday, and was attended by Messrs J. R. Bartholomew, S.M. (chairman), J. S. Douglas, V. S. Jacobs, F. W. Knight and J. RDreaver. The following transfers of licences were granted:—Oriental Hotel, Herbert Claude Johnston (Mr G. W. Perens) to Thomas Clarke Muir, Branson's Hotel, James William Young (Mr A. G. Neill) to Thomas Francis Mackie; Robert Burns Hotel, Annie Margaret Hope (Mr Neill) to Michael O'Brien. Allan Angus Campbell (Mr J Lang) was granted a renewal of a licence in respect of the Empire Hotel. The chairman stated that the quarterly reports which had been submitted to the committee called for no special comment.
