REQUEST TO MARITIME BOARD CUT IN WAGES TO BE RESTORED (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, Dec. 4. (Received Dec. 6, at 5.5 p.m.) The sailors, firemen's and catering department panels of the National Maritime Board held a meeting to consider an application by the National Union of Seamen for the restoration of the balance of the 1932 cut in the seamen's wages. Three-quarters of the cut has already been restored. It was agreed to-day that the remaining quarter be restored in January next.
