PROFESSIONAL BOUT POSTPONED <Per United Press Association" ELTHAM, Dec. 5. After the amateur preliminaries had been fought in the open-air tournament arranged by the Eltham Boxing Association to-day, heavy rain necessitated a postponement of the main bout, the professional lightweight contest between Joe Hall (Australia) and Jack Jarvis (Eltham). The • committee decided to hold the match in the open air on Wednesday night. PLUTO BEATS REEVE (Per United Press Association) GISBORNE, Dec. 6. In an open-air bout on Saturday before a crowd of nearly 1000, Bill Pluto, 11.11 (Australia), had a comfortable win on points over Harry Reeve, 11.4|, the New Zealand cruiser-weight champion. Pluto was faster with his hands and in his footwork, and Reeve's style suited him.
