MUST WIN OUT

NATIONAL PARTY'S FUTURE MR HARGEST'S PREDICTION A prediction that the new National Party must, in the end, be victorious because it offers to young people, to a greater degree than ever before, a chance to co-operate in restoring the country's prosperity, was made by Mr J. Hargest, M.P. for Awarua, when addressing a meeting of the Auckland branch of the Junior League of the New Zealand National Party last week. Mr Hargest said that the new National Party appealed to voung men and women to offer their services as National candidates at the next election. The mistakes of to-day would have to be corrected by the ypung people later, and they would also have to pay for the " orgy of extravagance which the Labour Government had indulged in. The National Party would have 60 fresh seats to fight for, and the party was confident of the results There was a clear call for youth to preserve the liberties to which British people felt themselves entitled, but these liberties were gradually being filched from them by the Labour Government. Mr Hargest said that in the country districts which he had visited in Auckland Province he noted a great deal of growing enthusiasm among supporters of the National Party. This was more noticeable since the selection of Mr A. Hamilton as leader.
