SYNTHETIC DRUGS
USE IN COMBATING DISEASE RESEARCH IN INSTITUTE (British Official Wireless) (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) RUGBY, Dec. 1. (Received Dec. 2, at 5.5 p.m.) A Government grant of £30,000 a year for an institute of chemotherapy was announced by Mi Neville Chamberlain last night. The Council grant will be administered by the Medical Research Council. The new institute will be devoted to building up and experimenting with synthetic .drugs for combating disease.
