A POOR DEMAND AMERICA THE ONLY BUYER (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 2. The owner of a diamond factory at Johannesburg, Mr H Prinz, and his wife arrived by the Wanganella for a holiday tour of New Zealand. Mr Prinz said that the De Beers mines had sufficient diamonds on hand to supply the world demand for about 20 years. He remarked that America was really the only market in the world at the present time, diamonds being unsaleable on the Continent. They were in poor demand in England.
