REMOVING A SHIP’S PROPELLER AT PORT CHAMLERS To facilitate the removal of the propeller of the motor vessel Australind, now in the Otago dock, a fire was lighted under It to heat the boss and so cause it to expand. A new propeller will be fitted in place of the one removed.
