THE WEATHER
The sky was overcast for the greater part of the day yesterday, and there was a cool breeze from the south-west. The maximum temperature was 58deg. The barometer was steady throughout the day at 29.90. CONDITIONS IN THE NORTH (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND, Dec. 2. Fine, sunny weather prevailed today. There was a moderate southwesterly wind and conditions were warm. The barometer was steady this evening at 29.75 in. WELLINGTON, Dec. 2. Light rain fell in the early part of the morning, but though cloudy the rest of the day was fair, with a cool southerly breeze prevailing. The minimum temperature last night was 47.2 deg., and the maximum temperature to-day 54.7 deg. CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 2. The weather to-day was fine, with sunshine in the afternoon. A very strong south-west .breeze in the morning changed to south sou’-west after mid-day. The maximum temperature was 56.2 deg. The barometer is rising slowly and now registers 29.89 in.
