“AT HOME” IN THE SAVOY
An “at home ’’ in the Somerset Lounge was given by Mrs Thomas Fergus and Mrs D. M'Gregor Reid, of Otakou, yesterday afternoon as a welcome to Mr and Mrs James Begg, who have lately returned from a visit to England and the Continent. The lounge was arranged with bowls of ranunculus on small tables, and looked very fresh and pleasing. Mrs Fergus wore a frock of brown and white figured crepe and a brown coat and hat, and Mrs Reid a frock of figured crepe in tones of beige with a beige coat and hat. Mrs Begg looked smart in a black and white figured crepe frock with a black georgette coat and a black hat relieved with white.
