BABY MOTOR CAR

A demonstration was given in London recently, of the latest model of a motor car which is a verysmall " baby," yet it is able to carry two neople at speeds up to 45 miles an hour on a claimed fuel consumption of 80 miles to the gallon. It has a 2\ horse-power engine, and running costs are said to be about a farthing a mile. The car has a three-speed gearbox, instead of single speed. It costs about £BO. The car is intended fbr use as a runabout. It takes up little space, and, if necessary, the driver could easily tow it home himself. The car shjowed a nice turn of speed and good hill-climbing capacity. It is so close to the ground, however, that the occupants can never hope to obtain much of a view of the scenery.
