J. Jarvis (ex-New;Zealand 100 yards and 220 yards champion and present Victorian title-holder for 100 yards at 54sec), D. H. Symes (New Zealand 220 yards champion), E. Toase, and J. W. Clulee. The 100 Yards In* vitation Short-limit Backstroke Handicap will be just as attractive a race, since two of Australia and New Zealand's best backstroke exponents in P. E. Mathieson (holder of New Zealand and Australian records) and W. Fleming will be pitted against, each other, and the field will also include Jarvis, Thomas, Kerr, and Leckie.
