Both clubs certainly had reasons to complain of the catering at the races, but would your reporter just take a glimpse at this so-called up-to-date kitchen and its appointments and judge if it was possible to serve crowds at meal time? Yes. the clubs made the caterers pay.' and I have before me a letter from the Oamaru Jockey Club to its late caretaker. Mr R.
