POWER BOARD COSTS

INCREASED BY RECENT LEGISLATION (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND. Oct. 19. The extra costs occasimed by the recent legislation affecting wages and salaries are expected to amount to about £2624 during next year in the case of the Waitemata Electric Power Board. A report submitted by the manager (Mr A. Main) to a meeting of the board explained that the total could not be given accurately at present because of the demands now being made by the unions of clerical workers, which might add considerably to the known costs.
