•J ' . _ MONTHLY MEETING The monthly meeting of the Dunedin Films Institute was held in the Mayor’s room on Monday. Mr H. P. Kidson, president, was in the chair. The chairman referred ter the interj esting display of educational films given in St. Paul’s Schoolroom on No- ! vember 28. At this display, which was made possible by the generosity ' of the local branch of Kodak, Ltd., five 1 films were shown:—“ The Behaviour ; of Light,” “ The Skin,” “ Wild Animals jin Captivity.” “How You See,” and | “ The Wellington ’City Milk Supply.” | The films, and the excellent results ! obtainable by the use of an up-to- | date and moderately-priced projector, i were a striking revelalio. of the possibilities of the use of film: in schools, i The 60 representatives of educational I bodies present were enthusiastic in : their appreciation. The local Films Institute has at 1 present a sub-commitie at work upon an experimental films’ estimate service. Later it is hoped it may be able to publish weekly, for the guidance of picture-goers, opinions of curj rent films.
