CRICKET

TO-DAY’S MATCHES The First and Intermediate Grade matches of the Otago Cricket Association will start this afternoon, and some interesting games should be witnessed. In the First Grade competition a match between Carisbrook A and Grange at Logan Park should provide a wellcontested match, since CarisbrooK appears to have a good side, and Grange has also most of last year's players playing again, and will be strengthened by the reappearance of T. Chettelburgh At Logan Park No 2 Albion, last year's premiers, will meet Kaikorai. Albion has most of its last season’s team still playing, and will be improved by the presence of H. Miller, who performed exceedingly well in Wellington last season Kaikorai also has a new player in L. Reilly On the University Oval University will meet Carisbrook B. University has most of its last year’s team again available and the Carisbrook team includes several of last year's Colts team. At Tonga Park, High School Old Boys will meet Dunedin. The Old Boys have most of last year’s players available, and will be improved by one or two plavcrs who were in the Colts last vear. Dunedin has also obtained one or two new men.
