WOMEN’S MISSIONARY UNION (Per United Press Association) ASHBURTON, Oct. 16. The Methodist Women’s Missionary Union conference concluded to-day. The committee appointed in connection with the writing of the history of the 25 years of the union’s existence decided to ask the ,New Zealand Conference to appoint someone to prepare in book form the history of the entire work of the New Zealand Methodist Church, to be published before the centenary in 1940. Representatives of committees were appointed as follows:—Home Mission Board, Misses Pearce and Jessie Buttle; Foreign Mission Board—Mrs White, Misses E. Rishworth and Somerville, Mesdames F. Thompson and T. Rowe; Kurahuna Home—Mesdames Hopper (chairman), Bowron, P. Whitlock and Davies; Kurahuna Home representative on Dominion Executive, Miss Rishworth.
