FORESTERS

The forty-eighth anniversary of the inception of Court Littlejohn was held on Tuesday C.R. Bro. Sinclair presiding over a good attendance of members. An invitation was accepted for the cribbage and euchre tournament at Court King Edward’s Pride, P.C.K.’s Bros. Helm and Reynolds to make the necessary arrangements. P.C.R. Eros. Christie and Thomson were elected as delegates to the Syllabus Committee. Official visits were received from Courts Woodlands Pride, King Edward’s Pride, Excelsior. Marion. Pride of Green Island, and Pride of the Leith, and the visitors were welcomed by Acting S.C.R. Bro. Christie. All suitably responded. An official visit was also received from the District Executive, represented by D.S.C.R. Bro. Gibson, D.S. Bro. Macfie, D.W. Bro, Clayton, and D.B. Bro. Thomson, who were welcomed by C.R. Bro. Sinclair. D.S. Bro. Macfie addressed the meeting, relating the history of the court since its inception, remarking on the many fine officers who have passed through its ranks. He particularly stressed tire great work of C.S Bro. R. C. Wilson as P.D.C.R., district trustee and secretary of his own court since its beginning. D.W. Bro. Clayton presented a P.C.R. certificate to P.C.11. Sister Brandon, and D.B. Bro. Thomson presented a P.C.R. necklet to I.P.C.R. Bro Moreton. One new candidate was proposed. After the meeting was closed, a social and dance was held. The music was in the hands of Mr A. Pettitt, and items were contributed by Miss D. Goodlet, Miss Tyrell, Miss Adcock, Miss Harrison, Miss Robertson Miss Bevan Master J. Flett, and Mr M Hood. P.C.R. Bro. Goodlet acted as M C., and a most enioyable evening was spent.
