ORANGE LODGE

Members of the Loyal Orange Lodge, No. 9, held their usual monthly meeting on Wednesday evening. Sister Tombs, worshipful mistress, presided, supported by a full muster of officers, and about 60 members and visitors from sister lodges were present. The secretary read the correspondence, which included an invitation to attend the installation and investitures of W. master and officers of Lodges No. 5, Girls’ Juvenile, to-day, and Male Lodge, No. 39, on October 28 in Orange Hall. District Lodge No. 3 wrote inviting members and friends to celebrate the Fifth of November at a concert on Thursday, a ball on November 6, and a church parade on November 12. An official visit was received from the W. mistress and officers of Past Mistresses' Lodge, who were made welcome. One candidate was balloted for. The W. mistress invited all present to be the guests of No. 9 at an old-fashioned dress social at the close of the meeting.
