TROTTING CLUB

FORBURY PARK COMMITTEE A meeting of the committee of the Forbury Park Trotting Glub was held last night, and was attended by Messrs B. S. Irwin, president (in the chair), James Samson, James Mitchell, H. Halliday, C. Hadfield, J. Trengrove, W. J. L. Coughlan, A. G Neill, J. Richardson and James Black. A letter was received from Mr G. Dryden, Invercargill, accepting the position, of supervisor of the sale of race books at the club's meetings. It was decided to make a ?rant of five guineas to the Otago A. and P Society for the purnose of providing prizes for pony trots at the society't Summer Show op December 11 and 12 A letter was received from Mr W F. James, totalisator proprietor stating that he desired to meet the committee to go into its request that he shoula make arrangements to sell win and place tickets at the one window.—lt was decided that a sub-committe° should meet Mr James on Monday. Mr Coughlan submitted, a draft pro gramme for the spring meeting of the club, and it was adopted. The chiel race on each day will be a 4.32 class On the first day the total amount of the stakes will be £IBOO and on the second day £1750 making a total of £3550.

It was decided to. start?the raceeach day at 12.15 p.m. Mr J. Williams was appointed gate inspector. .
