THE CHRISTMAS TRADE
'LAST AVAILABLE SAILINGS PLACING OF IMPORTERS' ORDERS Importers who have not yet placed their final orders abroad for the Christmas trade have only a short time in which to do so in order to catch the sailings which will ensure the arrival of goods in the Dominion before the final rush of Christmas shopping is commenced. Only a few ships which have yet to leave Great Britain and America to reach 1 New Zealand before Christmas will call at Dunedin, but there are others for North Island ports -which would serve the purpose of the importers as well. The following is a list of the sailings which are still available:— PORT LINE Port Bowen, to leave New York October 31 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. Port Townsville, to leave London November 19 for Suva, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff and Nelson. M-A-N.Z. LINE Tekoa, to leave Montreal October 21 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. FEDERAL LINE Norfolk, to leave Liverpool October 17 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin- and Bluff. Huntingdon, to leave Liverpool November 7 for Auckland, Wellington, Dunedin and New Plymouth.. SHAW, SAVILL AND ALBION: LINE Akaroa, to leave London October 28 for Wellington and Lyttelton. O: and O. LINE Golden Coast, to leave '. Los Angeles November 1 for Auckland and Wellington. MATSONLINE ~ Mariposa, to leave Los Angeles November 11 for Auckland. UNION STEAM SHIP COMPANY Waiotapu, to leave Los Angeles November 5 for Auckland; Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin.
