MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING

The Otago Miniature Rifle Association has completed the competitions for the A, B, and C Grade teams' championships. In the A Grade Railway No. 1 and Arthur Barnett's drew with 18 points each, and had to shoot off. The match was fired on Speight's range and resulted in a win for the Railway team with the good score of 630. The B Grade was won by Arthur Barnett's with 18 points, D Company being second with 16 points, and Railway No. 1. team third with 14. In the C Grade teams the Telegraph Engineers proved the winners by winning all their matches to score 22 match points. This club started only this year, and is to be congratulated on its performance. Arthur Barnett's, D. Company, and Ross and Glendining Clubs tied for second place with 17 points each. In the A Grade individual championships W. Graham is leading with 638 points out of the possible 640, a brilliant performance. E. Pearce is second with 636 and G. Wyllie third with 635. R. Leslie leads in the B Grade with 628, J. Porteous being second with 625, whilst C. James and E. Callon are level with 624 for third place. In the C Grade K. Millar is in the lead with 624, E. James and W. Olsen tieing for second place with 612. "In the senior ladies' championship Miss Robinson leads with 627 points, Mrs Bradley being second with 621, and Mrs Johnston and Mrs Hoad are level in third place with 612. In the President's Ladies' Championship Miss N. Skilbeck leads with 607. Miss A. M'Lean is second with 599 and Miss M. Madigan third with 598. The finals of the A and B Grade individual championships will be fired on Tuesday. October 27, and the finals of the C Grade senior ladies and president ladies on Thursday, October 29.The. following tables show the positions of the teams:—
