He r>ceeded over mountain passes through oandit-ridden country by mule and train, with a party of foreign nationals, mostly Greeks, ahead of him and followed by Ras Imru, at one time commander of the Abyssinian army. Ras Imru is leaving Abyssinia and has been given permission to settle in Uganda. Practically all foreigners have left Western Abyssinia except a few traders at Jimma and some missionaries at Sirama, who consider it safer to stay rather than risk the perils of 'he journey.
