SEQUEL TO POLICE RAID (Per United Press Association) BLENHEIM, 0ct..7. . Fines of £25 and £ls respectively were imposed in the Blenheim Police Court this morning on Robert Ferris, hairdresser, arid Ernest Francis Rudd, confectioner, both of Blenheim. The charges concerned the use of premises as common gaming houses, and the prosecutions were the result of a police raid on Saturday, when betting material was discovered. Both the defendants admitted carrying on the business of bookmakers.
