COASTWISE MOVEMENTS Karu completed loading the local portion of her cargo at Ravensbourne yesterday and sailed for Oamaru, Timaru and Lyttelton to continue loading for Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth. Holmglen Is' not now expected here until Monday to load for New Plymouth and Port Walkato, via port 3. Walmarlno Is due here to-day from Blun and Is to load out this evening for Timaru. Wellington and Auckland. Walplata is due here to-day from Auckland, via ports, and Is to sail this evening for Bluff. She will return to Dunedln on Saturday to load out for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland. _ Gale arrived here yesterday from Bluff, and Is to sail to-day for Wellington and Wanganui, via ports. : MATAROA FROM SOUTHAMPTON The Mataroa left Southampton on October z for' Auckland, where she Is due on November 6. She is to discharge her cargo at Auckland and Wellington. Her loading Itinerary has not yet been announced. PORT FREMANTLE AT BLUFF The motor ship Port Fremantle arrived at Bluff on Monday from Launceston to commence Homeward loading. She will also load at Lyttelton, Wanganui, Wellington, Napier, Glsborne and Auckland. WAIKOUAITI FROM SYDNEY The Walkoualtl Is to leave Sydney to-morrow for Bluff, Dunedln, Timaru and Lyttelton. She Is due here on October 14. WAIRANGI EARLIER The National Mortgage and Agency Company advises that the Walrangl Is expected to leave Lyttelton to-day for Port Chalmers, where she Is due to-morrow to continue discharge. She is to sail about Saturday evening for Bluff and Timaru to complete discharge. 7 lONIC'S ITINERARY The Shaw, Savlll and Albion steamer lonic, which left Southampton on September 4, is due at Wellington on October 16 to commence discharge of her Home cargo. She is to complete discharge at Auckland and commence loading at the same port, completing at Gisborne, Napier, Wellington and Lyttelton. She Is to sail finally on November 11 for Southampton, London and west coast ports. KAURI FOR AUCKLAND The Kauri, en route from the Clyde on her maiden voyage, Is now , to load at Adelaide early In November for Auckland and Napier only. BENHOLM CLEARS SYDNEY The New Zealand Shipping Company has received cabled advice that the M.-A.-N.Z. Line chartered. steamer Benholm, from Montreal, cleared Sydney, Cape Breton, on September 26 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedln. She Is due at Auckland on November 4. PERSONAL Captain H. THE TOKYO MARU The Tokyo Maru, a new motor vessel of 6477 tons gross and 3858 tons net, arrived at Auckland last Friday on her first voyage from Japan. She is the fastest cargo vessel yet built in Japan and is capable of a maximum speed of 21 knots. Fitted with the latest cargo appliances, including the square derricks, together with her raking bow and streamlined funnel and deck houses, she is an object of Interest. A very fast passage from Sydney was made by the Tokyo Maru. The vessel left Sydney on September 29 and reached Auckland at 4 a.m. on October 2. The Tokyo Maru. a sister ship to the Canberra Maru*. is now on her maiden voyage She made the passage from Kobe.to Brisbane In 11 days. The vessel Is due at Dunedln to-morrow morning to discharge Japanese cargo and to load for Japan, sailing to-morrow evening via Australia.
