Herr Holz. traveller in stockings for a German firm, makes his business ?a hobby by collecting the hose of history. The most treasured item in his collection, which is now being exhibited, is a pair worn on ceremonial occasions by an Armeniaft philosopher in the vear 1100 b.c. Herr Holz also has a replica of the green stockings which once adorned the plumn but shapely calves of Henry VIII of England.
