A fatal accident occurred in a barrack-room at Somerset Barracks, Shorncliffe Camp, near Folkestone, recently. Trooper G. M'Gilvay, aged 28. of the Royal Dragoons, who was in the room with another trooper, was seen to have a rifle in his hand. A' report was heard and M'Gilvay was found lying dead on the floor with a wound in his body. M'Gilvay was a native of Glasgow.
