CRUISE TO ISLANDS
NAVAL SLOOP WELLINGTON
(Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, Oct. 1. The sloop Wellington returned from her annual Island cruise to-night, having experienced a severe storm on Tuesday just after completing her full power trial. The storm was the worst experienced by the Wellington during her present commission, and caused her to reduce speed, although her arrival at Auckland was still some hours ahead of the original schedule. For six weeks from the beginning of July until September 24 she carried Bishop Kempthorne, of Polynesia, on a lour of his extensive diocese.
