The Legislative Council met at 2.30 p.m. The Land and Income Tax (Annual) Bill and the Land and Income Tax Amendment Bill were read a first time, and the Council adjourned at 2.45 p.m. till October 6. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES ADJOURNMENT TILL TUESDAY 'From Our Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON, Oct. 1. There will be no sitting of the House of Representatives to-morrow. The Prime Minister (Mr Savage) announced when the House rose tonight that, in view of the State luncheon which is to be tendered to-morrow to the delegates to the Empire Chambers of Commerce and other engagements, it would probably suit the convenience of members if the House did not resume until Tuesday. It was decided to adopt that procedure.
