INQUEST ON AVIATOR
VERDICT OF ACCIDENTAL DEATH LONDON, September 28. A verdict of accidental death was returned at the inquest on Mr Campbell-Black. The coroner pointed out that an aeroplane about to land had the right of the freeway. The manager of the airport said he was surprised that Mr CampbellBlack had not seen the bomber. Two women testified that as the machine was taxi-ing they saw Mr Campbell-Black reading what seemed to be a sheet of foolscap. They agreed it might have been the map found at the bottom of the cockpit.
