ANNUAL SPRING SHOW The Balclutha Horticultural Society’s spring show was held in the Britannia Theatre yesterday, when there was a splendid display of flowers, notwithstanding the backward weather that has prevailed during this month. The women’s bays attracted a lot of attention. The judges were: Cut flowers, C. E. Naish; daffodils, S. D. Macdonald: decorative, Mrs J. G. Anderson; industrial. Mrs Gray and Miss Shaw. Mr D. M. Henderson made a capable president, a remark that also applies to the secretary (Mr R. Culbert).
