SABRE IN COURT

After being discharged, Thomas Edwin Shepherd, aged 46. of Tyseley accused of assaulting , a woman with a sabre, presented the weapon to Mr Yoxall, chairman of the Bench, at Birmingham. Mr Yoxall accepted the sabre. The chairman stated members of the Bench were satisfied that' the cause of the man’s action was a combination of drink, ill-health, and the effects of a thunderstorm.
