LEAP YEAR DANCE AT MIDDLEMARCH
The ladies of Middlemarch held a successful leap- year dance in the A. and P. Hall on Friday, when a large number of bachelors and benedicts accepted their invitation. The duties of M.C. were efficiently carried out by the Misses N. Titchener and A. Ayson. Among those present were:— Mesdames A. Robertson, wearing black georgette; F. Keast, navy satin; W. Valentine, white satin; Misses A. Terry, red crepe; D. Kinsman, red silk velvet: P. Sellars, black velvet and silver lame; I. Frederickson, orange satin; B. Robertson, pile green georgette and silver; N. Titchener, black velvet; J. Tisdall, brown and orange sand crepe: C. Rae, white georgette; M. Slater, blue georgette; H. Matthewson, salmon pink marocain with black to tone; P. Robertson, tomato velvet and silver lame; I. Tisdall, black georgette: G. Tisdall, shell pink crepe de chine; D. Williams, black satin; F. Keast, blue silk crepe; J. Howell, red sand crepe; E. Bowden, lemon crinkly crepe: W. Arnott, blue ring velvet: A. M'Fadyen, green windswept satin: N. Anderson, brown floral satin: D. Matthewson, blue georgette and lace; M. Egan, black satin: I. Egan, apricot taffeta; J. Dawson, floral satin: H. Simpson, blue cloque crepe, silver stripe; J. M’Hardy, blue georgette: R. Guild, blue georgette: P. Timms (M’Rae’s Flat), black with silver trimmings: P. Phelan (M'Rae’s Flat), floral skirl ’and blue tunic: F. Gillespie (M'Rae’s Flat), floral crepe; A. Fraser (M’Rae's Flat), red satin: and G. Kerens fM’Rae’s Flat), silk velvet.
