" The Unknown Understood" was the subject on which the Rev. Gertrude Brooks spoke at the Greater World Spiritualistic Mission. Latent within man, she said, were all the attributes of divinity. There was no virtue he could not evolve; there was no degradation from which he could not rise; and there were no bonds he could not break. " Man, Know Thyself " meant something very profound. It meant that law, divine law, must be understood. Man was a spiritual being. Around him were the glorious possibilities of all he desired to be and to understand.
