Terribly injured by a charging elephant, Mr Edward Alan Cunningham, aged 28, a prominent white hunter, has died in Nairobi Hospital. Mr Cunningham was frequently employed by the Government in the game reserves. He v/as in thick bush in the Rumuruti district, when- a cow elephant charged him and inflicted serious injuries. Mr Cunningham was rushed to hospital in an air ambulance. A competent hunter since the age of 20, Mr Cunningham was also one of Kenya's outstanding tennis players, and two years ago held the Singles Championship.
