THE KING'S HOLIDAY

TRAVELLING INCOGNITO WELCOMED AT BELGRADE BELGRADE, August 9. (Received August 10, at 10 p.m.) Prince Regent Paul and the British Minister, Mr J. Balfour, welcomed King Edward at the railway station at Jezenice and drove him to Prince Paul's summer residence and presented him to Princess Olga. After this they accompanied him by train to Ljubljana to catch a special Court train to Zagreb, en route for Sibenik, where the King will board the Nahlin on the morning of August 10. The weather is at present rough. . . The King's incognito is being strictly observed, though pedestrians at Salzburg waved to the King, who waved back as he walked through the streets after visiting the castle at Helbrun and St. Peter's Cemetery, and inspecting the Salzburg Festival Hall. The police detained a press photographer who tried to take a snapshot of him. The press prints long biographical editorials of the welcome. The Jugoslav Court cook has been detailed to help the King's chef and a sumptuous touring car has been despatched to Sibenik for the King's land excursions. There will be no official reception, the Prime Minister, M. Stoyadinovitch, alone greeting the King. THE KING EMBARKS BELGRADE, August 10. (Received August 11, at 1.25 a.m.) The King has embarked on the Nahlin.
