MR POLSON'S SERVICES
RESOLUTIONS OF APPRECIATION (Pen United Pbess Association) WAIPUKURAU, June 20. After a discussion in committee, tho following resolution was adopted yesterday by the Southern Hawke's Bay Provincial Executive of the Farmers' Union: —"That, while reaffirming the principle that the New Zealand Farmers' Union should keep clear., of politics, this executive heartily thanks Mr'Poison for his untiring efforts as president of the New Zealand Farmers' Union, and for the wholehearted way he has worked, sparing neither trouble nor expense to further the interests of the union." INVERCARGILL, June 20. Appreciative references to the work of Mr Poison were made at a meeting of the Southland Provincial Executive this morning, and in view of Mr Poison's expressed wish to retire shortly from the presidency, the following resolution was carried:—"That this executive places on record its great appreciation of the past services of Mr Poison as Dominion president of our organisation for 10 years, and hopes that his services as an executive member will be retained."
