HOW DOES A COLD START ?
The manifestations of the common cold anil its ally, influenza, are manv and varied. Sometimes a tight throat heralds the trouble, sometimes a chilliness up and down the spine is the first signal, while frequently a tickling in the throat or chest is the first symptom that a cold is coming. On the grounds that the character of Shylock in "The Merchant of Ven'ce” is the " foulest slander ever penned by the hand of genius,” Rabbi Irving Silmam of the Hackensack Hebrew Institute, New Jersey, is attempting to have the play omitted from the English course at Hackensack High School. As a result, two Jewish students, one of them cast as Shylock, have withdrawn fj;om a school production of the play.
