A “ROYAL PATRONAGE” PICTURE

Her Majesty Queen Mary was present at the world premiere of “ The Ghost Goes West,” presented at the London Pavilion on December 17, 1935. The entire proceeds from this premiere were handed over to the Papworth Village Settlement. “ The Ghost Goes West.” the film chosen for this groat occasion, is the first to be directed in England by Reno Clair for London Films Productions. The cast, headed by Robert Donat, includes Jean Parker, Eugene Pallette, Elsa LanChester, Morton Seltcn, Ralph Bunker, and Hay Petrie. The script is written after a short story of Eric Known by Robert E. Sherwood. Robert Donat plays a double role in this United Artists picture, and is seen as a Scottish laird of the eighteenth century, and later as his penniless descendant of to-day. “ The Ghost Goes West.” one of the outstanding pictures of the year, will be screened at the Regent Theatre to-day.
