(Per United Press Association) WAJPUKURAU, June 15.

William Williams, alias Gordon Ernest Drurv, was sentenced to an aggregate of 18 months' imprisonment at Waipawa on Saturday on three charges of using obscene language to young girls at Otane. Ho "escaped yesterday from the yard at Waipawa Gaol and was recaptured last night. He appeared before the court again to-day and was sentenced to six months' imprisonment concurrent with his present term on a charge of being an incorrigible rogue. WELLINGTON, June 15.

At the monthly meeting of the Rural Intermediate Credit Board the commissioner presented a return showing the financial position. The co-operative, rural intermediate return showed that the 40 associations now engaged in lending operations had a membership of 2134, and there was owing to the associations by members £199,181. a small reduction on the amount for the preceding year.
