COMMUNITY SINGING

The weekly sing will be held on Friday at 12.18 in the Strand Theatre (by courtesy of Fuller-Hayward). This week the special item will be by the Athena Double Quartet, and this item no doubt will be much appreciated. The sings so far this year have been outstanding, and there is no doubt that they are enjoyed by listeners-in, as several letters have been received from far afield congratulating the committee and leader on the singing. Donation!? can lie sent to Begg's or the Strand Theatre. The proceeds are for the Mayor's Relief Fund. Mr H. P. Desmoulins will again lead and, with Mr Alf. Pcttitt at the piano, another good hour is assured. Mrs M'lntyre, who is in charge of the stall, will be pleased to receive articles or flowers, as they always find a ready sale.
